===Feel=== There are multiple tests you can do to check your balisongs tune by feel. For all of those tests, you will need to assemble and lube your balisong. ====Horizontal Swing Test==== Open the balisong and hold it in the standard grip in your hand. Now release the handle that's further from your palm while still holding onto the handle that's closer to your palm. Slightly tilt your hand so that the handle that's further away from your palm can rotate around the pivot. If the rotating handle feels "sticky/gummy", you have bind. Another way to spot bind with this test, is that the blade will sometimes begin to move with the handle. You should be able to fully close and open the handle while holding the balisong horizontal without the blade moving at all. ====Vertical Swing Test==== Hold the balisong Vertically in it's open position and release the lower handle. If the lower handle stops abruptly or feels "sticky/gummy" instead of swinging freely, you have bind. ====Ice Pick Sound Test==== Lots of community members prefer to do an Ice Pick sound test to test their tolerances. This test allows to quickly check for bind and how tight the tolerances are. If the tolerances are tight and you have no bind, the balisong will sound like two neodymium magnet which have attracted each other. To do this test, hold the balisong in the Ice Pick grip, drop the handle that's further away from your palm and quickly pull it back up while slowly bringing your fingers together to close the balisong. This will vibrate the handles back and forth. This test unfortunately doesn't work very well for every balisong, as some balisongs are naturally bouncier than others. For a visual demonstartion, watch this video: https://youtu.be/Eo4GhERhS0o?si=v8MujIznSF3F48Sq&t=35 ====Tap Test==== Tap can be tested on both handles at the same time, or only one at a time. ====Wiggle Test On Both Handles==== Hold the balisong as if you are about do do a double rollout. From that position, grip the handle that is closer to your palm and tilt the knive to the right if you are right-handed, left if you are left-handed. Now shake the balisong forwards and backwards quickly. If you can feel the balisong rattling/moving, you have play. If you can hear a "clicking/tapping" sound, then you have tap. ====Wiggle Test On One Handle==== To check for wiggle only on one handle, hold the balisong in the exact same way as described in the previous chapter #Wiggle Test On Both Handles. Now drop the lower handle so that it touches your palm and pinch the blade between your index and thumb, but be careful not to cut yourself. The blade should be inside the channel of the handle that is higher up. Now shake the balisong forwards and backwards quickly. If you can feel the balisong rattling/moving, you have play. If you can hear a "clicking/tapping" sound, then you have tap.
