Balisong sales on Instagram often violate Instagram's TOS on the sale of dangerous and regulated goods, leading many users to experience post removals, shadowbans, or full bans. Nonetheless, Instagram is home to the large majority of balisong sales, with creators posting under the following hashtags/pages:

Bluesky
Bluesky is a decentralized social network akin to X (formerly Twitter). Creators mainly post flipping clips, text posts, and photographs of balisongs. Bluesky's unique custom feed feature has allowed for the community to create balisong-specific feeds. Bluesky's terms of service are also more lenient in terms of sales, so there has also been a push to move balisong sales to Bluesky. Due to its small userbase and various failed attempts from creators to shift the community to BlueSky, not much balisong content can be found aside from a few creators (notably Will Hirsch and Disuko).
